Story
Peter Kicul, lost his battle with lung cancer on 22nd June 2009. Ever since, his friends & family have helped the Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation raise money to beat this awful disease. So far, over £11,000 has been raised, all of which is attributed to the Peter Kicul Tribute Fund. Luckily, this year I am not being dragged up any mountains & more of Dad's nearest & dearest are up for a challenge! To mark the 2yr anniversary of Peter's death, a group of 6 of his fellow pipeliners have decided to compete in the sponsored 'Dawn to Dusk' racing event (http://www.dawntoduskenduro.co.uk/). Taking place on August Bank Holiday weekend, 'Dawn to Dusk' is one of the UK’s hardest and longest Enduro events. Vital Marzolo, Chris Saunders & Chris Clement will be attempting the 6 hour solo Enduro event, while Darren Howells, Chris Morse & Craig will be attempting the infamous 24 hour race. According to riders, few events (if any) in the UK off-road calendar can offer such a sense of achievement (& mere exhaustion!). So, please feel free to give as much or as little as you like - because as cheesy as it sounds, every little helps! I will be updating this page with further news & pictures in the run up to the event so please feel free to check back to see how the guys are getting on!
